Ghee Popcorn

  • Ingredients

    • 2 tbsp Aseel pure butter ghee
    • ½ cup popcorn kernels
    • Salt, to taste
    • Optional: seasonings of your choice, like sumac or smoked paprika
  • Preparation

    1. In a large, heavy pot, melt Aseel pure butter ghee over medium heat. Once the ghee is hot, add a few popcorn kernels to test the temperature. When they pop, the ghee is ready. Add the rest of the kernels and some salt.
    2. Cover the pot with the lid and shake to coat the kernels with ghee. As they begin to pop, shake the pot occasionally to ensure even heating and prevent burning. Cook until the popping slows down and comes to a stop.
    3. Pour the popcorn into a large bowl, sprinkle with salt to taste and any other seasonings you prefer. Sahtein!
